Our sustainable path
LM-Dental™ is committed to sustainable development and transparent reporting. Our first company-specific Sustainability Report brings together the actions we take to promote environmental responsibility, employee well-being, and ethical business practices.
Climate responsibility
LM-Dental™ conducted its first carbon footprint assessment for the year 2024, following the internationally recognized Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol. The calculation was carried out as part of the Climate Program coordinated by the Finland Chamber of Commerce.
First carbon footprint assessment completed (Scopes 1 & 2) in line with the GHG Protocol.
Greenhouse Gas emissions – Calendar year 2024:
- Scope 1 Direct emissons: 5.5 tCO₂e
- Scope 2 Indirect emissions (market-based): 1.26 tCO₂e
- Carbon footprint calculated (Scope 1 & 2) total: 6,8 tCO₂e


Product life cycle – Guiding future improvements
ISO 14040/14044-compliant LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) completed for the Gracey curette. Results provide knowledge to guide future improvements in product sustainability.
Circular economy
LM-EcoExchange™ campaign encourages dental professionals to return used instruments for recycling. Organized in collaboration with Kuusakoski Oy in Finland, the initiative enables nearly 100% material recovery and supports sustainable procurement.


Occupational safety and well-being
We are a member of the Zero Accidents Forum, aiming for zero workplace accidents. Strong safety culture in our company is supported by continuous improvement.
Ethical governance – Guided by global principles
Our operations are guided by Planmeca Group’s Global Code of Conduct, promoting transparency, integrity, and responsible business practices. No violations or corruption cases have been reported.
