Minna Ekman’s career has evolved alongside the company’s growth
Minna Ekman has been part of the journey with LM-Dental™ since 1987. Starting her career as an Office Secretary, Minna has experienced many changes, both in her job responsibilities and in the company’s operational environment. Today, she serves as the Accounts Secretary & Logistics Coordinator in the Supply Chain team.
“I started here when the company was still called Lääkintämuovi Oy. Back then, my tasks included order picking, packing, and shipping. Over the years, my job description has expanded to include warehouse management, organizing shipments, accounts receivable, order processing, and monitoring customer accounts.”
Positive growth and development
Working in an international company and in an evolving work environment have taught Minna a lot about different cultures and order management on a global scale.
“Of course, the work environment and job description have naturally changed over the years. I joined the LM-Dental™ team in response to a newspaper ad in 1987, a time when job hunting was done on paper. Now, the work is primarily digital.”
The changes in Minna’s job description reflect both her professional growth and the company’s development. Throughout her career, Minna has transitioned from physical work to office tasks, witnessing the company’s expansion both operationally and geographically.
“A particularly significant change occurred when Planmeca purchased the company in 1999, and the office moved to Parainen. Although the changes brought new challenges, such as a longer commute, the changes have been positive. Each change has provided new learning opportunities and strengthened my commitment to my work.”

Teamwork in an international environment
In her current role, Minna especially enjoys the versatility of her work and customer service in Finnish, Swedish and English.
“The importance of a good team is huge. I am part of a small, but effective team, where everyone supports each other and works together towards common goals.”
